Because of the variability of tree sizes, quantity of trees we are able to fit into one box at a time even within one product, it is not feasible to have pre-determined prices calculated individually for each item. For this reason, we came up with our shipping rate percentage based on most common price range.

Multiple box shipping increase
Keep in mind if your order requires multiple boxes we may have to reach out to you to adjust the shipping cost you have already paid for. In some cases depending on the quantity of trees you have ordered it may not be feasible to ship them in multiple boxes due to the cost it will incur to you.
At that time we can get a Fedex freight quote and determine the best rate for your order. We make every effort to keep the cost of shipping as economical as possible for you.

Prune before shipping/oversized box fee
Sometimes we may have to prune your trees to fit into the shipping box to keep your shipping rates low, if you wish for us not to prune your trees please make a note on your order at check out under Shipping Notes that you wish for your tree to not be pruned. You may incur an oversize boxing fee. We will contact you prior to shipping the over sized box, to confirm the exact additional costs.

Shipping cost includes all handling charges including pulling plants from the field, labeling, sorting, removing pots and some soil (bareroot season), bagging, wrapping, and packaging.

Shipping and handling costs are calculated on the subtotal before sales tax.

Please call us at 1-800-669-2067 to inquire about shipping larger sizes - these must be shipped by Fedex Freight. Trees can be shipped in a palletized box, which will hold 50 3-gallon trees or 15 7-gallon trees. Typical cost for Fedex Freight from FL to MI for a single pallet is $550.00, this is often the only way to ship quantities of larger sized trees. We also try to combine orders onto one truck, and depending on the number of orders and locations can sometimes make arrangements to deliver one pallet this way.

At this time, due to importation restrictions, we are not allowed to ship to CA, AZ, OR, WA, HI or outside the country.

Open the box and inspect the trees immediately upon receipt. Unwrap the plants from their packaging and, if you cannot plant immediately, place the roots in moist peat, potting soil or soil. Keep them cool in a cool dark place such as a garage or barn with the roots slightly moist and they will stay dormant until you are ready to plant. Do not let them freeze, especially the roots, as this will kill the plants. They can stay dormant and safe this way for several weeks.

If you believe that the trees may have frozen in transit, please contact us immediately.
