The most popular persimmon in the world, for a reason! Known in Japan as Fuyu-gaki, the name translates to Winter-persimmon. Non-astringent large fruit can be eaten hard like an apple when orange in color or soft when red in color and fully ripe and incredibly sweet. Medium sized tree to 15', fruit ripens in October-November. It is the most widely planted commercial cultivar in the world. Zones 8-10.
