A unique, small evergreen tree with small gray-green leaves and bright red berries in the winter, Yaupon Hollies are excellent for birds. It is a native that is adapted to drier locations, and is common on sand dunes near the coasts. Its dense foliage provides excellent cover for birds and wildlife.
