Tulip Poplars are very fast growing, large native shade trees that bear yellow and orange tulip-like flowers in spring and have attractive unique shaped leaves that turn bright gold in fall. Finches and many birds eat seed pods in fall. Very common throughout the Piedmont and Appalachians.
Excellent shade and ornamental tree.
