Freedom Flowering Pear

FREEDOM FLOWERING PEAR
Pyrus calleryana
We selected Freedom Flowering Pear from a block of pears we had grafted from budwood taken from Bradford Pears on Main Street in our nearby town of Alachua. It is far superior to Bradford and other varieties of Callery Pears because it is not subject to defoliation in the long hot summers of the south due to leaf spot. It has highly disease resistant, rich green foliage, beautiful white spring flowers and brilliant orange-red fall color.
